Disclaimer
First, it’s probably a good idea add the usual disclaimer: Although we’re associated with and strongly support Habitat Gardening in Central New York, which is a chapter of Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes, this website is the story of our own yard and doesn’t necessarily reflect the opinions or practices of those organizations (though I can’t think of anything that would be in conflict!)

We’re not professional landscapers. We’re just gardeners. We haven’t done anything that anyone else couldn’t do.
We just kept adding native plants, learned more about creating a living landscape, and got involved with other people to leverage our efforts.
The future of life on earth depends on all of us working to be good stewards of our land and planet.
Reflections
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.
~ Henry Van Dyke, 1852-1933
One is not born into the world to do everything, but to do something.
~ Henry David Thoreau
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.
